Subject - verb - agreement

1 . जब दो या दो से अधिक Singular Subjects and ' से जुड़े हों , तब उनके साथ Plural Verb का प्रयोग होता है ; जैसे -

 Vinay and Raman are tall . 

Ramu and Moti have a car . 

2. यदि दो Singular Nouns किसी वाक्य के Subject हों तथा जब इनके पहल अलग - अलग Articles रहें , तब वे Nouns दो व्यक्तियों या वस्तुओं के सूचक होते है । और उनके साथ Plural Verb आता है ; जैसे -

The poet and the critic are coming .

The principal and the director are there .

 Note : किन्तु जब ऐसे Noun से एक ही व्यक्ति या वस्तु का बोध हो , तो बाद में आनेवाले Noun के बाद Article नहीं आता है एवं Verb Singular होता है जैसे -

The poet and criticis coming .

The principal and director is there . 

3 . यदि दो अंक ' and ' से जुड़े हों , तो उनके साथ प्राय : Singular Verb का ही प्रयोग होता है ।

 जैसे - Five and five is ten . 

Ten and ten makes twenty .

4.  जब किसी वाक्य में एक Singular तथा दूसरा Plural Subject either . . . . or " ,
